Cathy Breternitz CD(DONA), CLC (989) 708-8547

In March of 2007 I read an advertisement seeking volunteer doulas. After I made the appropriate contacts and attended my volunteer training I was inspired!
My choice to become a doula was solidified when I was in the delivery room with a young woman who was all alone, my coordinator and I were her only support. All went well, it was a beautiful sight to see that baby being born!
Wanting to reach more women in my community, I went through DONA training for my national certification. Sharing my new-found knowledge with expectant moms has become a passion that has grown over time. There is more to having a baby than going to the hospital. Our bodies are beautifully designed for birth! If we allowed our body to do what it is created to do, we would have a better experience and better outcomes.
My commitment is to instill confidence in the mother and her partner for the birth of their baby. As a doula, it is my desire for the mother to have her best birth experience possible.
Thank you for the privilege of allowing me to be part of your birth team during this important event of your life. It is my pleasure to serve you. I look forward to meeting you.
